ORGANIZER

Society for the Protection of Prespa (SPP) & Cleaningans environmental organisation

The environmental organization Cleaningans from Thessaloniki returns to Prespa! The group, consisting mainly of young people, consistently and enthusiastically organizes and participates in voluntary cleaning actions.

After successfully collection garbage from Agios Germanos - Lemos river in 2024 in cooperation with the SPP and the Municipality of Prespa, Cleaningans return this year for another voluntary action to the rivers and streams of Prespa.

Anyone who is interested is welcome to join us to clean up the precious arteries of life of the Prespa lakes and the inhabitants of the region.

The places where accumulated waste has been spotted and which we will visit for clean-up are the following:
📍 Agios Germanos-Lemos river (part near the fields)
📍 Kallithea stream
📍 Mikrolimni stream

With galoshes, gloves and an urge for action, we clean the banks and waters from trash, plastics and empty agrochemical packaging that pollute the natural environment.

We can join forces and contribute to the protection of the valuable aquatic ecosystems of Prespa!

  • The action is part of the project "Prespa's Green and Blue LifeLines" supported by the Donors' Initiative for Mediterranean Freshwater Ecosystems and the Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust.

Participate as a volunteer so that we can count you in for our cleaning activity!

Water, snack and all necessary precautions will be provided!
